Focused minds and active bodies.
At Redimere, we believe children were created to move, explore, and delight in God’s creation. Each campus day begins with physical activity following chapel, helping prepare students to learn with focused minds and active bodies.
Delight in God’s Creation
PE & Outdoor Program
By making movement and outdoor learning a natural part of each week, we hope to cultivate healthy, resilient students who delight in learning and in God’s creation.
Our Approach
As part of their studies, students engage in physical training that reflects games common to the historical periods they are learning. Those studying early colonies are introduced to floor hockey as a modern adaptation of the ice‑based stick games long played by Indigenous peoples in North America. From footracing to football, and rounders to early baseball, students gain a clearer picture of American life across eras and draw connections through physical education that deepen understanding.
Outdoor learning is woven throughout the week. Whenever possible, lessons move beyond the classroom walls, whether through read-alouds beneath the trees, hands-on history activities, nature studies, or quiet observation. On home days, families are encouraged to continue learning outdoors through nature walks, bird watching, nature journaling, and seasonal exploration. We believe children thrive outside, so students will also enjoy daily outdoor recess whenever weather safely permits. With appropriate clothing, they will learn, play, and explore through sunshine, rain, and snow alike.
Throughout the year, families are invited to participate in optional school-wide activities such as fitness challenges, recreational clubs, and field days. Intentional field trips also connect students with history, literature, science, and the natural world, allowing them to experience their studies firsthand.
