Edward (E.J.) Hopper

Board Member

Edward (E.J.) is a retired U.S. Navy command master chief with more than two decades’ experience in leadership, policy and program implementation, and organizational governance. Prior to his military retirement, he provided oversight and direction to the Navy’s largest fleet replacement squadron. After relocating to Indiana, he served as director of development for a private Christian school. While grateful for that season, he recognized that he missed being part of a team where he could more fully apply his executive skills and long‑range vision planning.

He is gifted in strategy and communication, brings practical experience in scaling organizations and strengthening the systems that sustain long‑term development, and exemplifies a people‑first culture. He is ever grateful to Jesus for being his rock and redeemer. The Redimere School is grateful to have him helping to provide stick and rudder.

He believes every “hello” and “how’s your day?” matters to someone. He lives by the motto – “Be intentional, encourage others, and win the day.”

Edward and his wife Monica have five children. While his favorite hobbies are fishing and coaching sports‑related activities, he also appreciates walking and inspecting his lawn with a good cup of coffee.
